Description

Repaplast is a dual component product especially designed for quick repairing and gluing of almost every type of modern plastic. Repaplast adheres perfectly to all kinds of plastic and lacquered or bare metal parts. The product dries very quickly, as a result of which it can be further processed after just 10 minutes.

Gluing with plastic glue alone often does not provide sufficient strength. Repaplast does not only create a strong bond, it also reinforces the break. Thanks to the product’s flexibility, the repaired part can be put under repeated load again.
Repaplast is very easy to sand and can be sprayed over using just about any type of modern lacquer system.

As a part of the Repaplast Plastic Repair System, Repaplast can also be applied for the long-term repair of cracks and holes in plastics. For the fixing of larger holes Repaplast ist used in combination with Repaplast Foundation Tape.

Repaplast is very user-friendly and can be dosed very accurately thanks to the handy dual cartridge and the use of the Mixer Gun. The special mixer nozzle ensures the right mixture proportions and prevents the remaining product from hardening in the cartridge. This means that an opened cartridge of Repaplast can still be kept for a long time.

Instructions for use

  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Clean surfaces with Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic and pre-treat with Innotec Repaplast Primer.
  • Application method: Because Repaplast dries so quickly, set out all the tools you will need before starting the repair or gluing. Fix the mixer nozzle to the double cartridge. When using a new cartridge for the first time, always squeeze out and discard the first two centimetres, to guarantee an optimal mix of the Repaplast. After use, do not remove the mixer nozzle; exchange it the next time you want to use the product.
    When gluing:
Gather up the parts to be glued and roughen or sand the contact surfaces. Clean the parts using Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic. In the case of plastics or difficult surfaces, we recommend pre-treatment with Innotec Repaplast Primer New Formula. Use the mixer nozzle to spread the Repaplast on the surface and join the parts to be glued together as quickly as possible, within 30 seconds. Keep the repair area fixed for a short time until the Repaplast has strengthened sufficiently.
    When repairing:
Clean the repair area with Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic. Grind the edges of the crack in a V-shape. Roughen the rear with a grinding disk and sand down the front with P120 sandpaper. Clean with Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic. Apply a thin layer of Innotec RRepaplast Primer New Formula to the front and back. To reinforce larger repairs, apply a single layer of Innotec Repaplast Foundation Tape to the back. Apply the required amount of Repaplast to the front using the mixer nozzle and smooth off with a spatula or filling knife. For large repairs, apply a thin, broadly overlapping layer to the back and smooth off with a nylon brush. Having applied the Repaplast, finish the parts you have sprayed using Innotec Repaplast Finish.
