Description

Adheseal Marine is a unique, permanently elastic sealant with strong adhesive qualities. Thanks to its excellent adhesion to various dry and wet surfaces Adheseal has proven its worth over a period of many years in shipping and shipbuilding industry.

Adheseal Marine is perfect for sealing joints and seams or gluing nearly all modern materials used in shipbuilding, e.g. metal, wood, plastics, polyester, glass and rubber.

The product is very quick to form a skin, fast curing, and extremely flexible. Adheseal Marine contains no solvents, so the glued or sealed area is not subject to shrinkage or cracking. Neither does the product contain isocyanates.

The handy 290 ml cartridges make Adheseal Marine very economical and easy to use.

  • Type of surface: Metal, plastic, glass (when gluing, always apply a suitable UV primer such as Innotec Glass Body Primer), rubber (test in advance), wood, aluminium, HPL panels, concrete, etc.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Clean surfaces with Innotec Multisol or Innotec Seal and Bond Remover. Clean plastic surfaces with Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic. Plastic, porous or extremely difficult surfaces must be pre-treated with Innotec Repaplast Primer or Innotec Seal Guard.
  • Application method: Apply Adheseal directly from the cartridge using a glue gun (InnoQuip Pro 2000 Gun, Easy Grip Gun or Air Sealant Applicator 300). When gluing, join the parts together within 10 minutes. If necessary smooth with Innotec Seal Fluid.
  • Skin formation: ± 10 minutes
  • Tack free: ± 4 hours
  • Curing time: ± 3 mm in 24 hours
  • Minimum joint width: 4 mm (minimum layer thickness when gluing: 3 mm)
  • Maximum joint width: 15 mm
  • Maximum admissible deformation: 20%
  • Paintability: Suitable for almost all modern paint or coating systems. Can be sprayed wet-on-wet after 10 minutes using just about any coating system, with no delay in drying. If you want to paint with alkyd paints, add 20% 2K hardener. If you want to spray with 2K lacquers after 4 hours, then apply a plastic primer first (Innotec Repaplast Primer). Due to the huge variety of paint types on the market, it is best to test the paint beforehand.
