Description

Structure Seal is a unique, permanently elastic sealant based on high quality MS polymers, specifically designed to imitate factory-original textured seams, door and flange seams. It also has excellent acoustic properties, making it particularly suitable for use in doors, roofs, and boots.

Structure Seal contains no plasticisers, solvents, isocyanates, or silicones and is shrink free. As a result, it can be sprayed over wet-on-wet after just 10 minutes.

In combination with the specially developed Easy Jet and using the special Flat Jet, Medium Jet and Wide Jet nozzles, almost any textured seam seal can be reproduced very easily and accurately. With the Flange Tip Nozzle, also smooth door seams and flanged seams can be produced very easily.

Structure Seal has a very high stability. This makes the sealant also perfectly applicable on vertical surfaces.

Thanks to the unique MS polymer composition, Structure Seal has a long shelf life even after opening.

Properties

  • Application conditions: +5°C to +35°C
  • Type of surface: Body parts, metals, aluminium and many plastics
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Clean surfaces with Innotec Inno-Degreasers, Innotec Multisol or Innotec Seal and Bond Remover. Clean plastic surfaces with Innotec Repaplast Cleaner Antistatic. Plastic, porous or extremely difficult surfaces must be pre-treated with Innotec Repaplast Primer or Innotec Seal Guard.
  • Application method: Apply directly from the cartridge using the Easy Jet with the corresponding nozzles (Flat Jet Nozzle, Medium Jet Nozzle, Wide Jet Nozzle, Flange Tip Nozzle)
  • Skin formation: ± 10 minutes (at 23°C / 50% relative humidity)
  • Tack free: ± 4 hours (at 23°C / 50% relative humidity)
  • Curing time: ± 3 mm in 24 hours (at 23°C / 50% relative humidity)
  • Maximum admissible deformation: 25%
  • Paintability: Suitable for almost all modern water-based and 2K paint systems. If you want to paint over after 4 hours, apply a plastic primer first (Innotec Repaplast Primer). Due to the huge variety of paint types on the market, it is advisable to test the paint beforehand.
Automotive: For applications where Structure Seal should regularly absorb movement, always add plasticizer to 2K paints (see instructions of the paint supplier).
